5 Life Lessons I’ve Learned From An 18-Month Old

An 18-month old toddler can teach us a few life lessons we can all use every day.  And as a simple mother of an 18-month old, I know about the days you wonder if you’ll ever make it through the tantrums, throwing fests and downright refusals of anything!  And then poof, like magic something catches their attention and they are falling down laughing.  What gives?! Making it through this stage will warrant a Mother Medal of Honor no matter what, but I found 5 lessons I could learn from my 18-month and apply to my own life:

1.  When something makes you mad, get MAD. But as soon as something comes along that makes you happy, be HAPPY and get over it!

2.  If no one is paying attention to you, and you have tried getting their attention.  Misbehave. It will catch their attention immediately!

3.  Smile. Smile. Smile. It’s a weak spot for disciplinarians.

4.  Eating only little bites of food and running around 16 hours per day will keep you skinny!

5.  When you do not want something, refuse it vehemently.  Hold your ground and stand up for yourself.

    Hurry for misbehavin’! 😉

    Do you REALLY endorse #4?

I do not endorse #4 for toddlers, but if it was up to her that is how we would roll!! But for adults, being active most of the day and eating little bites often works great! 😉
